After talking and praying it through, we've decided to go on birth control to help get pregnant again. Well, "we" being me. We realized DS was conceived immediately after I got off BC 6 months after we got married, and we've been trying for over a year, with nothing to date. It isn't for lack of attempts, believe you me. Truthfully I (and DH) was petrified of the idea of going back on it because I've been sick & depressed through every BC run I've done. But my periods are lasting 12 or 13 days now, and with PMS, my cycle experience each month is 3 weeks long.. So I get a week's respite before starting it all over again. I can't do it anymore. The amount of bleeding I have for 12 days with tampons I am in so much pain (internally) half-way through my cycle. And if I use pads, I am in pain too, but it's external. (I think that's as descriptive as I'll be...). We want another baby, and have both agreed it's an okay time for us to get pregnant again. I told DH that he may have to just give me more grace and mercy and slap me into reality now and then with the truth that the hormonal fluxes are from the BC and my life isn't TRULY unraveling at the seams. Maybe now that I know what BC does to my body, I'll be more prepared to deal with its side effects. I might try that new Yaz or Yazmin that's out; I hear it doesn't have as many side effects. I'm going to call the dr tomorrow morning. Wish us luck - we're really wanting to get pregnant again and I'm going to pray and have faith that this time the BC doesn't wreak havoc on my system. ray:
