I think I'm getting way over-excited here.... I just found out yesterday we are expecting and I have already pulled out some maternity clothes in anticipation!! We are really super thrilled!

Does anyone else like maternity clothes as much as I do? I have loved them in all of my pregnancies... I must be a real goofball!

lol! Yes.. you're insane.

I've actually *NEVER* had to wear maternity clothes... I don't like them at all.. Mind you they have came a long way.. but I prefer my jeans and baby tee's.. lol! I tend not to put on much weight so just go up a size in my jeans and they fit till the end.. which for me is dragging on and on and on...

Glad you're excited though!

I liked them at a certain point.. before I was too huge. I had the baby last Friday, I've lost 25 lbs, but I am still wearing my maternity clothes from when I was a few months along. DEPRESSING!! Glad you enjoy 'em though!

Well Chatsalot, I want to know what you EAT, girl! During each of my 3 pregnancies I gained 50 or 60 pounds! I have lost it all in between each pregnancy (except this time I held onto about 10 pounds...grrrr) I start wearing maternity like the day after the pregnancy test! You must be YOUNG or genetically BLESSED!!!

I am trying to do things differently this time tho! I am going to try to continue going to the gym and eating well (and cutting out the sweets.)

Omgosh Lexikatiesmom, I wouldn't feel bad about still wearing maternity after a few days!!! If you've lost 25 pounds you're doing GREAT! And congratulations on the baby! How are you holding up, sleep-wise? Do you have any help right now (someone staying with you?)

I've gained 16lbs.. and am overdue.. as you may have noticed. lol! I'm 5'8 and 33.. and find I seem to carry pretty compactly. So I guess I am lucky, 'cause I get to wear my jeans and t-shirts all the way through... but maternity clothes have come a long way.. Old Navy seems to have some really cute ones here! As for what I ate.. same as what I always did but with more dairy... and I was sick for the first 5 months.. blah! :hurl: lol!!

I'm sure you'll do great!

Maternity tops were fine but I hated the pants. I bought shorts & pants and ended up donating them. I wore regular elastic shorts/pants in the next size instead of the maternity clothes.

I love Maternity clothes too! I started to show about the minute I thought I was pg. I gained 50# with each kid. In fact I wore a pair of maternity pants to church yesterday because I still look pg, even after my gallbladder was removed. ugh! But the pants were sure comfortable!!

I loved them too. I gained 40 pounds with both of mine and I needed them. My normal clothes were too tight almost immediately. What I really loved was the newer pants and skirts that I wore with my last one that just have that huge elastic band around the waist. Those were so comfy and much cuter than the full panel ones I had to wear when I was pg with my oldest.

Yep you're a goofball! I hate hate hate maternity clothes. Maybe you just have way cuter ones than I can find here but I am not a happy camper. I'm showing and know its going to get bad but I just can't seem to like any of them. So I'm still wearing drawstring waist pants and old navy tanks since they are longer.
