I need some recommendations for some really nice wireless bras, front closure bras and nursing bras. I wear a lot of cute fitted tees and I hate the look of a nursing bras lumps and bumps under them. I need some suggestions for some good brands and styles of nursing bras or front closure bras that look good under clothes. I looked through my drawer and there is no way I would be caught wearing the ugly ones I bought at Sears the last time around. I am willing to pay up to $50 for ones that actually look attractive...the style of bra I currently like is the flesh tone smooth ones or off white...no lace or bumpy materials. Oh and I need some support...I become a 38 D while nursing!

Jenjoe, I don't know your individual challenges, but for nursing bras, the ONLY one that worked for me was Bravado. The are comfortable, you can sleep in them, the ones I have are $32-$35. I was only able to find it at maternity boutiques locally, but you can order online. BabyCenter.com carries them. They have the larger sizes, but there smaller sizes are prettier, too. The only challenge I do have is that I can't wear "white" tees that are single layered because I do wear the nursing pads. I also buy thin brands of those, too - I'm using the Lansinoh brand after the Gerber ones repeatedly turned to grit on my skin. The Medela ones don't hold enough.

Other than that, people rave about Wacoal, but I don't believe they are for nursing/maternity wear.

Bravado also makes maternity underwear that I still wear now. The quality is great.

Thanks...I will probably do a combo of front closure and nursing bras. I hope I am lucky like last time. I only used nursing pads at night for a few weeks and then I never leaked at all. I make a point of not nursing in public so as long as it opens some how in the front it will work for me. If I am out I will nurse in the car or in a dressing room.

One of my major problems is once you get to a 38 D it is almost impossible to find a bra with out underwires that does not look like an old or very large ladies bra...and I have a smaller frame and like scoop neck and v neck shirts so these do not work well for me.

Any other recommendations would be appreciated

That's why I loved the Bravado. No wires - they can clog your ducts and contribute to mastitis. If you have time, check out Bravado.com for selections. Many are pretty enough to wear later, too. They had some decent colors, too. I have the black, white, nude (pink) and butterscotch, which blends under a lot of shirts. I have to admit that the ones I chose don't work well with a low neck top. In fact, I found a couple of nursing shirts that were low cut that had built-in bras for that. But I think that your size will open more doors for you in the Bravado line, as you are smaller than I am.

I am a 36 D before being preggo and am already up to a DD at 4 months. I don't even want to think about what size nursing bra I will need. And you are right, they are all ugly when they get huge.

I never tried the Bravado (but now I wish I had...)
I have been very "blessed with breasts" & I found a MiMi Maternity that was very supportive, comfortable and not lumpy. The one I liked did have an underwire, but also a bit of very light padding, so you don't get the nip show.

In this area, I say if you can find something you love-Spare no expense. I tried about 5 different styles before I found one I could stand & ended up spending way more $ than if I had just shopped around for the best rather than the cheapest...

I need some new bras too. Mine are all ready feeling snug and I am only 2 months. I need new nursing bras. My others have been through 2 babies now and are very worn out.
I like wearing a nursing sports bra at night. They are very comfortable.

I agree on the Lansinoh nursing pads. They are the best. They are thin, so you can't see them under clothes. But they are very absorbent too.
