Smile I had my first Pre-Natal appt. Today!

So I went to see my midwife for the first time today, and she thinks my dates are wrong. She asked if I was sure about them, because the baby is higher and my uturis is bigger than should be at 13 weeks. I told her that I hadn't really started to keep track of them yet, because I wasn't expecting to get pregnant!

When she got the heart beat it was sooo strong! I was surprised how loud and fast it was. It was almost 200 beats in 10 seconds. I asked her if a fast heart beat meant a girl, and she said that it's hard to say at this point, because it could just be an excited baby. I also scheduled my ultrasound appointment for June 8th, so we'll know for sure then.

So that's my exciting news for the day.

Congrats on hearing the heartbeat!! That's such an exciting time. It's definitely hard figuring out dates, esp when you're not really trying. I was "off" with my second dd's dates, too, but it got all figured out and she was born healthy and beautiful! Have fun at the ultrasound and let us know what you're having!!

That's great news. My doc did an early ultrasound to date the pregnancy since I was so unsure of my dates. Turns off I was wrong big time. Let us know how your ultrasound goes.

Don't you just love hearing the heartbeat?

Congrats! I was off by some days too - or the baby was! Kaylee was 11 days late. I hate due dates and think they should be outlawed! But everything ended up great and she came when she was ready, even if I already was!

Gotta love that heartbeat. It was amazing each time I heard it!
