Thanks for the advice! I have purchased two 80 diaper packages of size N Pampers swaddlers from Target with a gift card that I found in my wallet : ) I've also been researching Fuzzi Bunz cloth diapers. Of course, I wish I could find a site where they are less than $17.95. How many do you recommend getting? I was thinking 10? Then I could use the Pampers while I wash them.

Also, I REALLY hope I don't have an 11 lb. baby!! I'm really petite (4'10") and so far the baby is right in the 50th percentile for size : )

I would put aside money for formula just incase. I never had any luck with a breast pump either.

I would suggest waiting on the breast pump. You may not even need one unless you plan on returning to work and/or being away from baby for long periods of time. I nursed my first for 14.5 months, and my second for 16.5 months and used a pump all of twice in that entire time.

I really think you can keep it fairly simple when it comes for stocking up for baby. One suggestion I have is to look into a baby carrier, and take your time choosing one. I personally LOVED slings in the newborn stage. Hotslings were my favorite. Most babies aren't interested in them at first but if you get moving as soon as you have them on, they end up liking it. It does take some getting used to for them, but it will make your life easier and they'll end up loving it.

Hang on to your receipt for the diapers just incase! I am 5'3 and had 2 babies both over 10 lbs (DS was 10lbs, 9 oz, and the Dr told me "Oh he's only about 8 lbs.....both DH and I knew better (DD was 10 3) !) And IMO, newborns are only in the newborn size diaper for a very short time anyway...1 package of 80 should be more than enough (you may not even use all of those)!
