I'm not pregnant and definately not trying to conceive, but the post about 2 kiddos made me wonder how many of us have tried to 'arrange' the sex of our babies with the Ancient Chinese Birth Chart! Have you looked up your past children to see if it was correct? Mine were! When we first decided to get pregnant I wanted to get a girl. I figured it would take a couple months to make it past the goal and I needed to get pregnant in September for a girl (August was a boy). Well, he was a good kicker and we made it in August. Your thoughts?

According to that, I should have 2 girls and a boy when in reality I have two boys and a girl. So, I don't take it very seriously.

However, with our third, I did try Dr. Shettle's "Choosing the Sex of your Baby". We did it for fun knowing we would be happy either way. It worked for us and a friend of mine. We got our girl after two boys!

I only recommend it, as does the author, to people who would be happy either way, but just have a preference. It was sort of fun to use it.

Don't forget, you can't count back 9 months from the birth of your child; it's actually 10 unless you gave birth early.

Interesting! I had never checked back after I had the kids. The first was right but the second two were wrong. I know right about when I conceived all three. I've always wondered how often this is right. My brother said it was right for his first two. It's predicting a third boy for him so I guess we'll see in November!

we did want a girl, we are getting a boy and the chart was correct for this one and our last. I really hoped it was wrong.

I never knew this chart existed until after I was pregnant with dd. We didn't care about the sex anyway, so it was a moot point for us. A friend look up the info for me and told me I was going to have a boy. WRONG!

Really? How so?

Approx every three months there is an extra week, so 4 weeks x 9 months = 36 Weeks and then since you have three sets of three month periods, that gives you about 3 extra weeks...so 36 + 3 = 39 - which is term for a baby. You can also think of as that there are technically 4 1/3 weeks every month. Just look on a calendar.

I've seen the chart before, it only holds true for one of my kids.
