I have to take the 3 hr glucose test I got a 155 on my 1 hr. I think it probably has to do something with me having food poisoning 2 days before it and eating what I could the day before the test which was mostly cereal, pasta and Gatorade. I figure I probably don't have it since I am 7 months(29 weeks) along and have only gained 20 lbs and I am measuring right. I think all the diarrhea and vomiting a few days prior caused me to have a high reading

This test makes me really ill so I am not looking forward to having it done and yes I did fast for about 12 hours prior to the 1 hour test. I have bad veins so I am not looking forward to the test...they always need to use a butterfly needle on me and it once took 8 nurses 4 hours (while I was in full labor and being refused pain medication) to find a vein for an IV :hurl:

Oh girl, my heart goes out to you. I have done it twice and been the sleeping preggo girl on the Dr's office waiting room couch. I also save all my looking in the gift stores at the hospital for this time....lol

You're not alone, Jen! I just got my results back yesterday, and they were slightly elevated. I'll be having the 3 hr glucose test next Thursday morning. I'm not looking forward to this--absolutely hate needles and having blood drawn!

I'm just now 30 weeks along; gained 11 lbs so far, and measuring exactly where I should be. I think its just a fluke like some other bloodwork I had done earlier in the pregnancy. I've been seeing a specialist for 3 months now because I got a false positive on the AFP test. Our baby girl is showing no signs of any defects which the test suspected.

Hopefully, we'll make it through our glucose test with healthy results!
