I'm eight months pregnant and I swear I'm losing my mind! I'm forgetting things like paying a couple of bills on time! Which I never do. I have forgotten work things, like where I put a student's insurance cards or getting extra meds for a kid that is going to be out of the country for a couple of months. Nothing major but it does make for a scramble right at the end. And I'm really indecisive! Even feeling a little overwhelmed at times.

I've read this is common in some prenancys but it never was a problem with my daughter. Of course I've been under a lot more stress this time around, we bought a new house which involved moving. Job stress. My husband is taking a new job. My crazy SIL came to stay with us for a month, I got her to leave after a week and a half and now she wants to return and "live" with us! And I was sick for a major part of this preganacy (again didn't happen last time around).

Anyway, enough of me ... is that happening to anyone else? And does it go away????

Gosh I hope it does, I have about a week or two left and my pregnancy brain - or porrige brain started approx at six months - just great for a person trying to write exams as well as run a house hold.

Eventually I gave up trying to remember everything and carry along my "brain", a wonderful little diary of things I need to do for the day, and stuff I need to remember. I did find that the less stressed I was and taking better vitimans did help me some.

I'm not sure that it "goes away" ever. My son is three months old and I'm more scatterbrained than when I was pregnant! The worst thing I have done so far is leave my debit card in the ATM machine with all our account info still up on the screen. When I realized I had lost my card, (two hours later) I was at the Dr.'s office. Then I panicked so much I raced with my son back accross town to the bank and when I got there, I saw that I had failed to fasten his straps on his car seat! I really hope I get my brain back soon.
