Awesome idea!!!

I put the ultrasound picture in a frame and gave it to grandma as christmas gift. Grandma found out first and the entire family a fast second later.
My SIL gave grandma a Tshirt listing her grandchildrens name and then a question mark with one more on the way.

Loved reading what others did.

I made little feet sugar cookies and frosted them pink, blue, and white to tell my parents. My mom did something like to announce one of her pregnancies, so I thought that would be fun. It almost backfired b/c when they came over they said they didn't want any cookies!!

For my mil, I did something similar to what blessed by 6 did. I'm notorious for being a little slow to figure out dates for get togethers etc. So we called her and said we had finally planned ahead on a date and asked her if she had anything going on March 6. So she gets out the calendar and flips through it to the following March and says no...why?? And so we told her. I was a little disappointed we couldn't tell them in person, too, but we live in a different state so that was the best we could do.

When my husband and I got engaged, I attempted to be really funny and hand my parents a bridal magazine and let them figure it out from there. It didn't work! My mother looked at the magazine, commented on how expensive bridal dresses were and tossed it over in her magazine pile and proceeded to tell me about whatever recent news she had heard. I was completely dumb founded. Surely she understood my hint! Finally I just told her, "We're getting married. Aren't you going to say something?" And she was in complete shock! Why she thought I gave her a bridal magazine is beyond me.

Anyway, I learned after that not attempt to tell my parents anything important but hints. Direct approach for my family.

When we are PG we are going to tell out parents with this poem:
I do not have a face to see
Or put inside a frame
I do not have soft cheeks to kiss,
I don’t yet have a name.
You can’t yet hold my tiny hands.
Nor whisper in my ear
It’s still too soon to sing a song,
or cuddle me so near.
But all will change come (month due)
That’s when they say I’m due.
I’m your new grandchild;
I can’t wait till I meet you
All I ask between now and then
Is your patience while I grow
I promise I’ll be worth the wait,
Because of all the love we’ll know.
So what I have to give to you now,
Is a wish to you from me
I cannot wait to be a part
Of this wonderful family.

That is a cute poem. I wish I would have had that for Mother's Day. I would have given g-ma's something from baby.
