Hello! I am new to this site...looking for a warm and inviting forum. Anyways, I am a mom of two girls, ages 4 and almost 2. Life has been exciting with the two of them. We have our ups and downs...but love them dearly! I am going back and forth about trying for #3. My DH is totally on board as of yet as he doesnt want to go through the baby stage yet...we are just getting our sleep again...and he feels we will never go on vacation! LOL!

Anyways, I am going off the pill TOMORROW actually! I am going off because BCP are driving me nuts. PLUS I am so undecided if I want another one....so if we decide we want one...I will be ready to conceive (God willing).

So anyways...I wish everyone luck in this forum and hopefully I will find the answers I am looking for as far as a 3rd.........

I am 12 weeks preggo with #3. I have 2 girls ages almost 4 and 2. My dh and I decided back in January that we would ttc in March to have a Dec baby and it worked.
I actually had a dr appt in Dec for my yearly and talked to the dr about bc. I hadn't used anything for almost 2 years. Dh took care of it and was getting kinda tired of it. So in getting ready to start bc we started talking about when we would have another. We knew we wanted more, it was just how we were going to space them out.
We decided not to start bc and try for #3. We are very excited and the girls are too.
I really want to get passed the baby/toddler phase too, but our family just wasn't complete yet. It might be complete with #3. We might have a 4th. We'll have to wait and see. No one can tell you if you should have another, but don't do it unless your dh is totally on board.
We both really want a boy, but are totally prepared for another girl.

How have you held up with the first trimester with the two girls? Any m/s? :hurl: If so, how did you handle it with 2 girls? I get a little nervous about that. I had it bad with my first...and it was off and on with my second.....
My dh's family is all for another grandchild as is my father. My Dh is very up in the air. I just wish he would come to me and say "yes, lets have another...I dont feel complete either"...but so far that isn't the case.......

I am 28 weeks pregnant with #3 now. We have a girl almost 4 and boy almost 2. We knew we wanted #3, but got pregnant sooner than expected. I just knew when I had my son that I was not done and my DH felt the same. We want to be finished with the baby stage. We are looking forward to clearing out some of the huge baby things like highchairs and exosaucers. We have decided that this will be it and we are both comfortable with that decision even though we have not met our son yet.

Someone told me once that the best thing you can give your kids is each other. They will have their parents for the first third of their life and their spouse for possibly the middle and last third, but your siblings are forever. It teaches them how to get along with other people completely different than them.

I am not going to lie. It has been rough. I have been sicker with this one than with my 2nd dd, but it's not as bad as with my 1st dd. It is starting to ease up though. I would have 2-3 good days followed and 1-2 bad days. Some days no one get dressed and the girls run the house. They pretty much get into everything while I am sick then I spend my next good day cleaning up after them. Meals are simplier when I am sick as some days I can stand for very long. They are both excited about having another baby and they do understand when I can't do much. My older dd tells me not to throw up the baby and little dd has come in to pat me on the back while I am sitting on the bathroom floor.

We have never dicussed when we wanted more kids with our families. Of course they would all want more, they are not the ones to take care of it 24/7. Don't let them influence you too much. It's is a decision for just you and your dh.
My mom doesn't even know that we had to have the dye test done to get pregnant with dd#1. We don't tell people when we are trying. Then it's more of a surprise when we are expecting.

Well...DH is now leaning towards another child. He thinks it would be good for the kids and is starting to like the idea of a larger family. Keep in mind we have been talking about this since before Xmas...and we are now really starting to think we want another.

We have our bad days with the kids (like today) and I say to myself "NO WAY, not having anymore"...but then it goes away and I am over it and they make me laugh and smile and I say "Yes, I want more, despite the bad days".

Anyways...thanks for your input. So far we have booked our Disney vacation sooner than later if we decide we want another one. We booked it for October of this year. Then maybe after that we may TTC #3. By the time the baby comes....both kids will be starting Kindergarden and PreK. So it will work out well as most of my day will be home with the baby while the kids are at school. Soooooooooooo, I dont know.
