I was walking out of Target today and I saw a lady walking in, very pregnant with jeans down below her belly and a short shirt on. A good 6 inches of her stomach was hanging out! Am I just an old fogey? is this the style now or do others agree that it is in poor taste?

I think it is the "style" now. But I agree with you. I had a hard time finding "traditional" maternity clothes when I was pregnant with Ashlyn.

I don't understand why they would want to hang out like that! To each their own I suppose.

I think it is poor taste! I dislike when I see pregnant women dressed like that.

I think that it is the new style now, even though I was pregnant only 2 years ago. My husband thought I was very beautiful when I was pregnant both times-even though I looked like a big fat whale!! But he said that he didn't like it when pregnant women's bellies showed like that. I agree with momof2boys-to each their own.

I wear fitted clothes, but never short shirts! My DH would freak out.

I don't even like to see skinny, unpregnant tummies hanging out in public, except for around water, let alone pregnant bellies w/stretch marks! Save it for home!

My SIL used to wear stuff like that when she was pregnant(she still does and hasn't lost the baby belly yet), it really bothered my dad. He used to tell my brother all the time to start buying his wife some clothing that fits her right. I must be old fashioned too, i just think it looks odd to see pregnant woman in a half shirt.

Definitely a personal decision. I don't wear baggy clothes because I think they make me look fatter but I don't wear shirts that show my bare skin either. But I still wear form fitting tops.
