The actual eye? Or discharge?
I know and it may sound gross to you, but breastmilk in the eye is good, especially for conjunctivitis symptoms (pinkeye).
None of my kids had jaundice so I don't know if it's related to that, but I figured I'd tell you what I know! hth!

Shabin is right re the breastmilk - also good for sore throat, stuffiness (in the nose) and earache. Call your ped. right away - still could be related to jaundice or something else - you want to be sure.

My ped told me that the yellow in the eye is the last thing to resolve with jaundice and can hang on for quite a while. Wouldn't hurt to call and check, though

When the whites of the eyes are yellow, it sounds like jaundice to me too. I'd let him get a little sun (not too much, of course), and check with your ped, just to make sure everything's okay. My first never had jaundice, but the twins both did, and they were under bili lights for weeks (Lily had trouble for a long time, and it took forever for her liver enzymes to get back to normal).

ditto. Also ask them to do another blood test to see what his billi levels are. They may still be too high.
