Started my monthly cycle on July 8th. It lasted a week as normal. I thought it was finished and I have been spotting ever since. Red one day and brown the next. Had an ultrasound done two weeks ago to make sure the three fibroids that I have are not causing the problem and all is normal. Dr said to be patient and this will pass.
Husband and I decided to start trying for the third baby in July and the stick said positive on Monday and today. :happy dance: I called the nurse and was told to hang in there until they can see me on Sept 5th. I am still spotting and cramping. I thought cramping is normal during this phase of pregnancy but am really fed up with the spotting. Anyone experience this and what did your Dr say?

I don't want to scare you, but I have a really good friend who went into labor early with both of her pregnancies due to her fibroids (they may be much larger than yours, I don't know). The first time, her membranes ruptured at 28 weeks, and they were able to maintain the pregnancy on hospital bedrest 2 more weeks. She actually just lost her second baby, a boy, last week when she was 16 weeks along. If you are spotting and cramping, and you have fibroids, I'd see your doctor right away. Better to be safe, IMO.

Your appointment isnt until Sept 5th?!!!! First off if your spotting with a positive pregnancy test they should see you immediately. My doctor tried the oh well we dont see you til your 10-12 weeks I said BS I am prego and spotting see me now!!! I ended up having a molar pregnancy and maid it til 13 weeks before anything happened and ended up having to have a DNC and all. So call your Dr tell them you demand to be seen for your safety and the unborn babies as well. You have that right and thats what they are there for.If nothing else you need a sono to figure out whats going on

I also agree with the other posters that I would in no way wait until Sept 5th to be seen. I would definitely make them get me in sooner. Call them back and demand to be seen. Let us know how it goes.

I spotted after I found out I was pregnant. I felt sore feeling. I thought it odd. But just thought every pregnancy was different. I ended up miscarraiging 2 months later. I don't want to scare you. I pray you are fine. Maybe it just has something to do with the fibroids. But you do need to demand to see the Dr. much sooner. Hope all goes well.

I had spotting with my 3rd child. It was right after I found out I was pregnant. It was very stressful. My doctor sent me for blood work. I think I had to go two times a few days apart to see if my hormones were rising. It was nerve wracking waiting for the results, but everything was fine.

I called the Dr on Friday and asked to take a blood test to confirm. Of course, after I get off of the phone I start the heavy bleeding. The hCG level on Friday was at 35 and on Sunday was at 20 so we know for a fact I was pregnant.

Thank you for all of your advice. We are going to start over again and hopefully this next time will be a success. I also hope I stop this constant spotting after the miscarriage is complete. UGH

I'm so sorry. There are no words, but many of us have been there, and we understand. I did have successful ones after miscarriages - one just walked away, telling me I had to put on Baby Einstein for her. Bossy.
