I know most women are excited to go to the 6 wk ckup cuz that gives them the go ahead for alot of things!! I'm scared because this is where I am going to find out if my body will physically be able to handle one more child. They sent my placenta away and did a bunch of other tests to see if the could find anything and I'm sure she will have all the results for me. If it looks like the headaches and preeclampsia will be a repeat again that's a big NO for us. I don't feel complete yet, so I want another.

I can just see myself being a blubbering baby in her office, thank goodness my appt is at the end of the day so I can go straight to the bar if things don't go my way! (Sorry I'm being selfish)

By the time we try for another I will be able to be a SAHM so hopefully taking the stress of my job away will help tremendously. Keep your fingers crossed!

Good luck to you. Just because you had preeclampsia before, doesn't mean you will have it again, as the Dr. told me. Not working will make a big difference. I had it with my first, plus bedrest from week 27. They even induced at 36 wks due to preeclampsia, but it didn't do any good and they got it under control, so we went full term. With my second, I did great, no bedrest, but I did swell, but no preeclampsia at all. Delivery went well, with healthy baby. However, 2 days after I came home I got high blood pressure (didn't know - my biggest symptom was dizziness and couldn't breathe well) and went back in with pregnancy induced hypertension - same thing as preeclampsia, but the normal cure is to deliver. Just know that every pregnancy is different.
