I'm 90% certain that I have begun losing my mucus plug this morning. I guess I was expecting a real "plug" type object, but from what I've read this seems normal too. No blood, but there was definitely a lot of a substance that is not the consistency I'm used to. Now, if only I had a back-up pair of underwear for the rest of my work day! (Note to self: babies are not the only ones who needs an extra change of clothes when heading out for the day.)

Just thought I'd share Time for lunch!

I was pretty sure I lost or was losing my mucus plug 2 weeks ago. I got all excited because I figured labor was on its way..........NOT. I am scheduled for a c-section in 5 days!!! This baby is just taking its good time to get here.

So...you most likely could be losing your plug in phases. Which, from what my doc said and what I read is all part of the process. It does not however mean labor is right around the corner. For some yes, for others no. Maybe you will be one of the lucky ones....although you still have a few weeks to go. Good luck to you and your delivery! I wish you a healthy baby and mama!

I lost mine in a little at a time. is was hours for it to be done rather than days. If u start to see a tinge of pink/red then u are probably close. I also didn't go into labor. I was eventually induced. I also didn't have a reg water breaking. It felt more like I was leaking a drop at a time. Good thing I was at home b/c no way do I have that many underwear!
Wishing good luck and a healthy baby.

Yes, carry extra clothes around. If you have the bloody show then you'll want to change more than just your panties.

I lost mine at 32 weeks and was concerned about premature labor, but had to be induced (due to hypertension) at 40 weeks. I had what many describe as a large amount of thick mucus that was blood tinged. But, I'm sure it's different for everyone.

Yep sounds like your mucus plug to me. But I wouldn't worry too much about it, it can take anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks (or longer!) for anything to happen. I hope you get everything done that you need to before that baby comes!
