Default question about metformin?

I noticed that alot of people mention Dr put them on metformin for fertility?

I am starting to worry. I DO NOT want to have another baby. I am on metformin for diabetes? what am I missing?

I am unsure about this too but what I do know is some women take metformin to help regulate things in their bodies. LIke my sister who has PCOS she takes it cause she needs it along with other meds and doesnt even have a regular cycle. I would suggest that if your not wanting anymore children then you need to take some type of birth control or if its that serious consider a tubal or the vasectomy. I am a believer that when your done having children that the only garuntee to not have anymore is complete abstenance well who in their right mind is going to do that so your next choice is to take some sort of action to prevent it. Good luck and unless your not doing anything to stop a future child than there is always the possibility of one.

Metformin is a diabetes medication. They are probably referring to the use of it in conjunction with Clomid to enhance the probability of ovulation and pregnancy. This is a least what I remember, hope this helps.
