I know I should call the dr, but I don't wanna hear what they're gonna tell me. (to come in) I've been having irregular contractions all day that have become more frequent and lower back pain for 3-4 days. (I've had the contractions for weeks, but never more than 3 an hour and was told to call if they are 4 or more an hour). So, I'm off to shower and then I'll call the doctor and see if I need to come in tonight. Ugh. Why does this happen when DH is gone????

You've been through it before - you know what to do. This baby only cares whether daddy is home or not only after he is born!!

If it's time, good luck - will be praying for and thinking of you! I'd still call the Dr...that way they can let you know if he/she is on call tonight and alert either him/her or a colleague to be ready.

OK, I called. They told me to drink 2 big glasses of water and lay down for an hour and if I'm still contracting and uncomfortable to come in. So, I'll check in again around 7 (central). The kids and I are gonna watch "Flushed Away" until it's time.

It's almost been an hour... !!!!
