I just came back from my 3-hour glucose test and i'm so glad it's over with it, but I'm too worried to eat anything with any sugar in it until I get my results (Monday or Tuesday). I don't do good with needles and doc's office to begin with. After the 1-hour I had to ask them if I can lie down b/c I was feeling light-headed. Now I just hope it comes back normal.

They didn't test your blood right away?

I had the three hour test done when I was pregnant (and yes, I had to lay down each time. Don't feel bad!) and after each stick, the evil nurse (she was actually quite nice, but I just dislike anyone wanting to poke me with needles. ) would run the test immediately and tell me my score.

i was about to update mine, I had my test yeterday, and got the results this afternoon. That test was terrible, I got so sick, I wnted to lay down but managed to stay sitting in a chair, because I was afraid I was going to throw up all over. Unfortunatly, 2 of my blood test results came back too high they said, so have to take a special class on diabetes education in about 2 weeks, and kee an eye on myself since I guess they are going to say I have it. Ugh. It's fustrating. But diabetes run on both sides of my family, so I have always known I might get something on eday. Just sucks. Hope there's not going to be needles involved. I think part of the reason my levels might be higher is I've been worried about somethng happening tothe baby, coupled with 10+ degrees and 90% humidity around here, that I'm hardly exercising.

Hope you feel better soon! As if pregnancy wasn't enough to deal with....now you may have to be extra careful with what you eat. Did they say you could not eat any sugar until you got the results back??? I would be miserable! I need sugar. You may have terrible withdrawal effects from not having sugar....be careful.
