I am on my 26 wks now and my baby has been moving constantly like crazy. She never seems to go to sleep. Even when I'm walking or or moving around she is awake and kicking. It wasn't one of those I'm-here-pay-attention-to-me kick its very hard and you can feel her moving around all the time. It feels like she's uncomfortable or something bothering her. I know in the U/S everything is normal but I don't know what could be bothering now. I can't get any sleep because she's kicking night and day she seems to be pulling on the umbilical cord. I'm afraid that she's going to pull it hard enough it will come right off. I can feel her pulling on it and it hurts. Have you guys have a baby like this active before? She is a hyper baby and she's not even out yet and no I don't think its the sugar because I haven't been eating a lot of sweets since I'm trying to be careful not having a GD.

Sometimes if you have had caffeine or sugar the baby will move a lot, but if it's constant I would call the doctor. A baby that isn't moving much and a baby that is moving a lot could signal a problem. There generally are sleep wake cycles in babies. I would call the doctor if it continues.

I was going to say the same thing. I know you said you have watched your sugar. How about caffeine? If ever you are concerned just call your DR. no question is a dumb question especially when it comes to your baby!

I know mine has days where she doesn't hold still EVER and some days where she hardly moves at all. Its enough to make you a nervous wreck. If you are concerned I would call the dr. and just let him know. I'm sure she's just enjoying her space for now.

I had A very active baby he moved Allll the time he would RUN AWay from the heart beat dtector thing everyone always commented on how active he was getting nicknames like "scuba diver and little swimmer and things like that. He would constantly move and kick and all that. I was always told an active baby is a happy healthy baby. Now he is 11 months old and EVERYWHERE including helping me type pullingmy hair and all that fun stuff. So im sure your baby is fine Its usally when they don't move is when theres a problem if you are concerned ask your dr. But otherwise enjoy it. I miss feeling and watching the bump move accross my stomach.
