I didn't tell anyone. I am with Carrie77, we were married 5 years before we started really trying and I started getting the questions the FIRST year we were married, come on! Give us some time to ourselves.

In the end, we couldn't have children, and now my twin sister is carrying our child. What a blessing she is!

We have never told in the past, but this time around, we have told a few people! But, only if they ask. We don't go around advertising-"Hey, we're trying to make baby #4!!"

Some friends have asked if I was pregnant and so I just told them no, but that we were trying!! Especially since they found that SIL was pregnant and our kids are really close in age. Guess they just assumed we would do it that way again!!

We've told a few close family members and I've told some of my close girlfriends but I've learned my lesson. From family I get: "Oh, don't try, it'll never happen then!" to which I have to explain that we haven't been really been "trying" up to this point (no temping, no Drs until now, no special appointments for sex, etc) we just haven't been preventing and have tried to sort of figure out when I'm ovulating and if things naturally happen, we take mother nature's cue and go from there... But that gets old explaining to family and I get irritated with their advice. THEN there's my mom who asks me about every other day if I'm pregnant yet. That gets really annoying. She even says things like "Well you better be pregnant before Christmas!" I think she has sort of a crush on DH and I can imagine that she thinks about us...and Oy, not a good subject

On top of that, having told my girlfriends, they're very supportive but it really smacked me in the face when they both turned up pregnant at the same time and then proceeded to tell me it was my turn and "I better get busy". Just sorta rubbed salt in the wound ya know?

So yeah...if I could do it over, I wouldn't tell anyone!!!!

I agree with the pressure. This is a very sensitive subject for me and I did not want people to feel free to bring it up and try to have a conversation about it.

well the first was a suprise. but when we try again we are not telling anyone. MY MIL would be calling every month to find out. She would prob try to find out my schedule and mark it on her caledner So no we are going to make it a suprise for everyone. We are going to try next summer. We were going ot this summer but I want to get as most of the weight off I can before getting prego again. Also recenyly found out some medical concerns that I am trying to get under control with a special diet.

We told close friends and family. That's about it. No one really asked about it and it was still a surprise when we told everyone that we were pregnant.

I was 26 when we married and people started asking us right away and it annoyed me. Partly b/c of the fertility issues I had and partly b/c it was none of their business. So when I was asked, I would say "Don't you have to have sex to get pregnant?" and in the crowd that I run in that took them way off guard and shut them up pretty fast!!!

I think the only one's we told we're maybe our parents. We just didn't want that pressure of being asked all the time by people if we were pregnant yet.
