Did anyone else watch this movie? It was pretty amusing...unfortunately, the "sex" scene made my DH view preggo sex in a whole new way. I've heard that sex is a natural way to help induce contractions, and I'm ready to start some experimentation and move this process along! However, all my husband can think of is that the baby is "right there." Has anyone else had this problem??

I thought that movie was really funny. and the sex scene was hillarious, and so true! It's always been a tough thing to accomplish, especially when you're as far along as you are now. He's not going to hurt the baby, or you in any way, just try several different things, and eventually you'll find something that works for both of you

Sex is a great way to induce contractions. In fact, my midwife told me at my last appointment that when I hit 33 weeks we are to do it twice a day to help get things moving!

Twice a day? Oh my gosh. that sounds impossible!!! I have not even been able to do it once, it hurt sooooooooo much!!!!! Like something was in the way.

yeah, it's not going to be fun, but it's worth it I guess if it helps get things moving! I told dh to enjoy it whil ehe can, because he's not getting any for a while afterwards

I haven't seen it but my mom did and didn't like it. She thought it had inappropriate humor and she thought when it showed the baby crowning it was an unnecessary scene. It must have been pretty bad because my mom isn't prudish or uppity about that kind of stuff. She has morals but isn't really strict about what she watches

I haven't gotten to see this movie yet but would like to. Wow 2 times a day starting at 33 weeks? Blah. We are on about 2 times a week, maybe. I don't have the drive so dh is the one initiating it and it is so tight down there it doesn't last long anyway. I can't imagine being told twice a day right now. No thank you. But then again if she goes past the due date, I'll be trying everything to get things moving!

That does seem like a lot to me also. It gets to be really uncomfortable and not an easy task to have intercourse when you are that far along. I feel bad for DH and try to make him happy but it is hard for me to have sex right now It is not that I don't like it.
