I also posted this on the pregnancy board. Just wondering if anyone here has experience with a hotsling? (They look like this www.hotslings.com). I sold my over-the-shoulder-baby-holder on ebay and am thinking of getting a hotsling for baby#4. Any thoughts? THanks!

I bought one when my daughter was 7 months old when we were going to be traveling by plane. It was going to be just me and her and I knew I was going to need to have my hands free while walking through the airport. It worked great and I got alot of inquires from Moms about it while traveling. Best thing though is that my daughter loves it, is comfortable in it, and even now at 14 months we still use it. It is easy to fold up in a diaper bag, to get her in and out, and there are lots of different types to choose from. I would of enjoyed it when she was newborn instead of the ones I initially had.

Hope this helps a bit!

I love my baby sling but do not buy it. Its so simple to make. i made mine and it took about 20 minutes and only cost me five dollars. plus i got to pick the fabric and pattern i liked best. I have made them i several different colors so i always have one that matches an outfit or a dresser one for when we got out. Anyways heres a place with awesome instructions
Make your own baby sling!

I have my 12 day old baby dd in mine right now as I am on the computer!! LOVE IT!

I bought mine on ebay by a seller at buddysling.com.

It is beautiful and high quality fabric. I paid around $35.00

It is a lifesaver for me. It frees up both of my hands but keeps my little angel where she wants to be....close to me...and I can breastfeed with it on too!

I replied in your other thread. Yes, we love our hotsling. We also use a ring sling that we love even more. DS giggles when he sees me putting it on because he loves to be in it. It's so comfy, keeps my hands free, and he often goes to sleep in it. If not he at least cuddles me good. You can easily make a ring sling too. Here are some good instructions.

Ok, guess I can't edit that post. That link goes to the home page. THIS link takes you to the DIY section.

I love my hotsling, DD is 5 weeks old and she likes it too. However I bought the the wrong size at first and it was too tight and hurting my shoulder after a while. I had to exchange it and now we are all good! I was at a party last night where my friend and I were both wearing hotslings and talking about how much we like them.

I'm so glad you asked about this. I was shopping for some type of carrier and had never heard of a sling. My sewing skills are very limited so I opted to buy a sling instead of make it although I may try it. I got the Rock'in Baby Pouch Tuesday which is very similar to the hot sling. The main difference is that it is adjustable. (I was afraid of measuring wrong for the hotsling)

When our 3 week old started fussing I popped him in it and he was asleep in 5 minutes. He loved it. I also used it at the store and it felt much more secure than having him in the car seat. I'm a bit nervous about having him out in public. I'm still new at being a mommy.
