Do you sing, read, or talk to your unborn baby? Does your dh or significant other? What about your other children? Do they talk to the unborn baby?

I played music and we would jokingly talk to my belly. At that point it was hard to really visualize and not feel silly talking to a "baby" when it just felt like a big alien inside me! We were pretty young when I was pregnant with DS and although I did my best to stay healthy and do all the "right" things, there were somethings I just wasn't comfortable with and carrying on a conversation (outloud anyway) with my belly just felt weird. I would have mental conversations with him all the time though. I will say this: it was much easier to talk to my belly once I knew it was a boy and we had his name picked out. I guess because he was just more real at that point? I don't know...it wasn't ever very real to me until he was born. I know it sounds silly but boy was it a HUGE shock to see a baby come out of no where!! LOL!!

Yep we talked to him all the time. I used to laugh because DH and I worked at a nursing home together when I was pregnant and the old ladies used to call me over so they could put their hands on my belly and talk to the baby. It was so cute! They'd say they were keeping the baby in line. LOL It was so priceless to see the joy on their faces to watch me grow month by month; it was like they were transported back to when they had babies. They were with me through every run to the bathroom, every kick of the baby while I worked, and oh the tips for raising a baby!! We got so many of those. It was so special. (Sorry, I just hijacked the thread. LOL)

I was actually going to post this today! We talk to the baby all the time. Especially me. When I'm home alone or driving in the car I talk to her a lot. I know at this point in the pregnancy she can hear outside sounds so I figure its a good idea. I'll tell her about the day, what I'm doing right then, where her daddy is, just general things. I also read to her some, but not as often.

My dh will talk to her some but usually when were lying in bed at night or she's kicking a bunch. But he kisses the belly all the time.

I talk to my baby. Sing songs to her, my nephew is too sweet, he talks to her all the time. He will hug the baby, kiss the baby, then if he is having a snack he tries to put in the belly button, to share with the baby. He is too cute about the whole thing! Doesn't understand 100% because he then wants to talk to the baby in Daddy's belly too! LOL!

Dh talked to the girls during both pregnancies, and when the first was born she turned and tried to focus on dh in the delivery room when she heard his voice. I listened to Faith Hill alot as well and they stopped crying when they heard her songs.
