Oh, I worked in a restaurant when I was pregnant with DS and people were CONSTANTLY touching my belly. I was also really young so I actually had a couple ask me if I was keeping the baby! They said they had a hard time getting pregnant and really wanted a baby. I guess because I was young and worked as a waitress in a restaurant while pregnant, that meant I was poor and should give up my child. The nerve of some people!!!

Yep I was quite huge with all of mine but it's just rude of people to comment. At 8 months you're supposed to be big

I had a guy I saw on occasion at work (he worked for a firm that worked with ours) who whispered to me "are you expecting?" I didn't hear him, so I said "WHAT?" Bear in mind --- I was thin everywhere EXCEPT my giant round belly - I was 8 months at this point. He repeated his question, even more timidly - to which I responded "Absolutely NOT!" and upon seeing his horror, I started laughing and said "what gave it away?"

It was hilarious. I would sometimes say when people would ask me my due date - "oh this, no I'm not pregnant, I just really like beer."

Ah, the good old days of being pregnant. I think it's about time for another one.

I can understand that it might be heartbreaking for a couple who have trouble conceiving. I wouldn't go around asking strangers if they wanted to give me their baby. It is worse than asking strangers for money. That is quite strange. That, is what an adoption agency is for. I wish I could remember some of the things said to me when I was a young unwed, 19 year old pregnant lady I know I had some weird ones. One comment that I really hate and I have got even when I was married, is some guy I know saying "is it mine" this was from my BIL (married to DH's sister) and some customers when I worked. Well, I don't remember sleeping with you so it shouldn't be. I don't really think it is a funny comment, because I respect myself and DH enough to not think it is funny.

She started stammering an apology when I told her I was just kidding. I've never seen someone so relieved in their life. I bet she thinks twice before she asks anyone when they're due again.

I also had a crazy experience with a young, married man in Walmart, but he had some kind of pregnancy fetish and it was pretty disturbing.

That is so funny! There is no way I could've pulled that off w/o busting out laughing!

Gahahaha!! I'm SO going to borrow that from you! Brilliant!

Having people touch my belly when I was pregnant last time didn't really bother me. Probably because it was always women who wanted to cop a feel. If some guy had tried to touch my tummy, I'd have knocked him across the room. I haven't really been showing long this time, so no touchy-feely stuff has happened yet.

You know what did bother me? How many women wanted to touch my baby after she was born. Whenever I would take her out in public (mostly the grocery store), people would try to touch her hands or her little head. ACK!! And it was the end of February... flu season!! It was mostly older ladies who would make a grab for the baby, but I swear, I was constantly fending off all ages. And some people would get offended when I would dodge away from them and say politely "Please don't touch my baby."
