Were you ready? Would it have been better to wait awhile longer? Would it have been better have a child sooner?

My oldest was born 2 weeks before my 22nd birthday. We were awfully young and had only been married for 1 year. If I had to do it over, I think we would have waited a little bit longer. But at the time, we both really wanted a baby.

I was 27. I was married when I was 18, and always thought I would start having babies at about 22 or so. But dh was in the service and we were in Japan, didn't want to be unstable when we had kids so we decided to wait till his tour was over. So then we came home and wanted a home, and decided, to build one would be cheaper to get what we wanted where we wanted. So that took 3 yr. Then I wanted a little time to have a husband wife relationship in a new house first, so we waited another year. So here we are. I think it all worked out for the best! No regrets at all!

I was 2 months to the day past my 30th birthday. We were married almost 2 years at that time and I was ready - as much as I could have been.

There are parts of me that wishes I had been younger, but, then again, I also appreciate the financial and emotional stability we had at 30 compared to my early 20s.

Ultimately, it was not my decision, but God's. He didn't bring my dh into my life until I was 26!

I had my ds when I was 24. Dh and I had been trying for a couple of years........sometimes we wish we would of been able to have a baby sooner, but we wouldn't change a thing.

I was 26 and it was the right time for us. We had been married for 7+ years and had been able to work out our lives together before throwing in another to the mix. I am glad we waitied ~ and weren't too old.

I was 25 when my first son was born...he was a little unexpected but not unwanted. I honestly wouldn't have done anything different. My second son came three years later.

I had just turned 22 , 2 months to the day that ds was born. Sometimes i wished we would have waited until we were more financially stable, for that reason alone my father was not excited about my pregnancy at the time. We wanted kids, we were stubborn and wouldn't listen to anyone so we just went for it. I'm glad now that we did it young, but i always recommend to friends and relatives that are getting married to wait a few years before having kids.......do everything you want to do and go everywhere you want to go as a couple first.

I was 18 when I had my first Son, 20 when I had DD, and 23 when I had my second son.
I was 35 when I took guardenship of my first grand son!
I am now 50 and am adopting Emmy!!

I was 27 and 35 with my last. I wish at times I started at little sooner. But we were living with his family. UGH!
