Thank you everyone for your prayers and thoughts over the past few days. Here is the latest update. Yesterday, we had an ultrasound, and the good news is we saw a heartbeat! Praise God. None of us expected that at all, especially the doctors. The bad news is the baby is measuring significantly smaller than the dates should suggest. Now, that COULD possibly be explained away by ovulation happening later than it should have. But there is worse news than that. The gestational sac is measuring EXTREMELY small, even for the recalculated dates. They are very concerned about that. They said that could be caused by my extreme progesterone deficiency, and all we can do now is hope that we caught the pregnancy early enough and started the progesterone medicine in time to make a difference. So, we are on a wait and see status. I have another ultrasound/doctor's appt. in two weeks to see where we are, and to see if things have progressed. God is good, and God is faithful, and if He wants us to have this baby, He will allow the sac to grow and nurture this little child. We are praying that He will allow that to happen! All I know for sure is that the baby is still alive as of right now - and I thank God for that. We are holding on to that! Thank you again for your prayers and thoughts - and I will keep you posted!
