Did anyone wrap thier stomach after thier baby was born. I had always planned to but my DH always thought it was a stupid thing to buy so I always waited, then after DD was born I really didn't venture outshopping by myself for awhile Sleep was rated higher on my list of things to do. So my question is did it help with your belly fat return to normal or at least hold it in a little better. Also when did you start to wear it and for how long and here is the major question. Is it to late to do it after 8 months. I know that is a long time but if there is any chance it will help with my extra flab I am willing to try it.

I have never heard of doing this and frankly, it sounds a little far fetched...

I haven't heard of it either. However, I don't think you can shape fat through binding the same way you can shape bone or other things in the body. I mean, it would have to go somewhere, right? I think you'd be more likely to hurt yourself if you did that. Though, I'm just talking about the theory behind this. I've never come across any product like what you mentioned. It sounds interesting though.

I had a C-section and was given a binder to wear to keep things "settled". It helped recovery so much. Other than that, I don't think it served any purpose.

I have never heard or anyone wrapping their stomach. I don't think it would serve much purpose other than with a c-section like sunshyne said.
I have heard that if you aren't going to nurse they bind your chest with an ace wrap. I guess it helps prevent milk coming in or makes it not so uncomfortable until it comes in and dries up.

Yup I agree with this too.

And I did not breast feed and this is exactly what I did, wrapped my chest with an ace bandage. Your milk still comes in, but it makes it not so painful.

Yeah, wrapping the stomach sounds very far fetched to me- maybe another one of those old wives tales? All it would do is "hold in" instead of letting things be natural. I don't see that it would hurt anything (unless you are uncomfortable, which a person probably would be) but I doubt it would help anything!

I had a postpartum support thing that I bought because I heard it would help after a c-section. It did feel better when I had it on except it rubbed my incision. I don't think it would do anything for the fat.
