Today is my due date ( Oct 9th) and I am still pregnant at this moment. I am still losing my plug here and there and my contractions are coming and going. Anybody have stories and what helped them go into labor? Or anything that you think could move things along. I am getting desperate Technically I am not overdue yet but DS was three weeks early and DD was late by only 39 minutes. I am getting a little worried that this guy will stay longer and get even bigger

I was teaching when I was pregnant so on my feet all teh time. I squatted for everything! I also remember a couple days before ds was born I made it a point to keep up with my very tall, very fast husband while we walked through the mall. It about killed me but I wanted to walk that baby out! He cam 13 days early.

Walk, walk, walk. You could try sex. I climbes a huge sand dune with my 4th,although that did not help. I just have to say,you are a trooper! My 3rd baby came on her due date. With my 4th,I told the dr. that would not happen! I was induced a week early. I would have been induced this last time also, but she came very early on her own. I am not patient and hated being pregnant! Good luck to you. Praying that your baby arrives very soon!

Hang in there! I'm sure that baby will be here soon. They say that the way the baby got there in the first place is the best way to get the baby to come out. It worked for me!

We went for a drive on a very bumpy road! 30 minutes later, my water broke!

Try to enjoy these last moments of being pregnant, no matter how long it lasts! I was 12 days overdue, so I know how you feel. Try to be patient, the baby WILL come when it is ready, and try some of the suggestions above - although nothing worked for me but time!
The whole due date is a calculation, not an exact science.

A week before my due date I was SOOOOO ready to get that baby out. DH and I had sex (though I wasn't in the mood!) and I power-walked on the treadmill. Next day I was back on the treadmill, walking faster and longer. 30 minutes after I got off the treadmill (about 6pm) my water broke. Baby was born the next morning, 5 days early. I don't know WHAT I would have done if he insisted on staying in there!!

Both of my babies were late -- my daughter was 2 weeks and 2 days late and my son was a week late - though I did actually go into labor with him, I was induced with my daughter. People kept giving my suggestions, walk, sex, basalmic vinagar, drive up a mountain and still nothing! Especially with my daughter. And then my husband, "Well maybe you should walk a little more." Ya, that one went over like a lead balloon! Thankfully he wasn't foolish enough to make that suggestion this second time around!

Really, I have nothing to add, other than it sucks! And I feel for you! But soon you'll be holding that beautiful baby in your arms!
