my son was born on August 23, 07 and since I am having issues with breastfeeding and I know that each baby is different, I need to find out if you know how many pounds did your baby gain so far! just to have an idea!! thanks for sharing..

Son # 1: 11lb birth- one month 14 1/2 lb (3 1/2 lb gain in one month), second month 18 lb
Son # 2: 9 lb 10 oz birth- one month 12 lb (4 lb gain in one month), second month 16 lb

My DS was born August 6, 2007. Today at his 2 month check-up he weighed 13lb 6 oz. He's a bit more than average.

I really encourage you to take the baby in for a well-child visit. Has the baby been to the pediatrician/family doctor since birth? They can tell you whether he's gaining well or not and maybe give you specific pointers about breastfeeding. It's hard for someone to provide this information online. Not only would a visit check baby's progress, but it would reassure you as well.

My dd was 2lbs 15 oz at birth. When she left the hospital a month later, she was 4' 7'. She is now well over 6 lbs.

My DD was born August 11, 2007 and last week weighed 12.6 lbs. and is totally breastfed. She was also 21 1/2 inches long. She is a big baby and eats all the time.

My baby was born on July 18 and she weighed 8 pounds at birth. Today she weighs 14 pounds.

My first born is 5.5 years old. She weighed 6 pounds at birth and weighed 13 pounds at a year. All kids are different

Sorry I missed that in my prior reply. DS was 8 lb 1 oz when born August 6th. He's now 13 lb 6 oz. He lost 15 % of his body weight within 4 days of birth due to jaundice but has more than made up for it. He takes both breast milk and formula.
