I find such great deals on clothes and other stuff that I would rather pass on the clothes to someone who could really use them. Like, freecycle them or give them to someone. Since I don't have the extra money to give. I figure I am helping others by giving them clothes.

The namebrand and nicer clothes I sell at one of two consignment stores. The rest I give to the Salvation Army, or to people at work. It's nice to help others less fortunate, but also I don't want to have to deal with a garage sale or online auctions.

I don't have the patience to sell anything. It's just not something I'm interested in doing at all. I donate all the kids clothes that they've outgrown.

We have a rummage sale every year. What ever doesn't go at the rummage sale is donated to Goodwill. I throw clothing that is badly stained or torn if it can't be fixed.

I pass it on to family - the good stuff anyway!

I do both. I pass on the good stuff to others, sell some items in a twice-a-year consignment sale and donate the rest of the usable stuff. I remember when I was girl that my mom would pass some of my outgrown clothes to some cousins whose mom was a struggling, divorced parent. It was just better for everyone that way.

I do both. I have at least 2 large garage sales a year and sell as much of their clothes as i can. What is left form those sales goes to the Salvation Army. I do have a friend that I give some stuff to as well.
