Anyone have a breach pregnancy and have the doctor try and turn the baby? Was it successful? My friend made the doctor quit because she said it hurt too much.

I didn't, but I remember my mom telling stories of how when she was pregnant with my youngest brother, he was breach and her midwife had her turn the baby ----> by leaning the ironing board up against the wall and laying upside down on it. Yep. No joke. that's what she had to do to turn him. She had 4 of us 5 at home, and at the time, she couldn't have a breach baby at home, so that's what she had to do. Kind of off topic, but funny and related a little.

My youngest was breach and my hubby made a board up for me to lay on....talk about blood rushing to you head. Anyway, he didn't turn while using that contraption so the doctor scheduled me to have a version (turn the baby) and the morning of the scheduled version I was just waking up and feel this big huge flop and sure enough when I went in they did an ultrasound and he was where he was suppose to be... Little stinker.

2 of mine were breech. One I turned in the swimming pool, the other I went to my chiropractor and he did the Webster Technique and she turned.

all 3 of my kids were breech. my first i had to have my cerclage stitch taken out at the hospital at 35 1/2 weeks and at that time we tried aversion to turn the baby and let me tell you i have a high pain tolerance(never taken pain pills after my c-section nothing) and man i was dying it hurt so fricking bad i just sucked it up my ob said omg you are such a trooper most woman are crying histerially at this point. she tried 3 times and he was just stuck since i had to have a c-seciton with him and each pregnancy after was high risk and they required me to have one for safe delivery there was no point in trying again.. but man i don't recomend it they will either turn or they won't.
