these things happen to the best of parents!! Years ago , When I had my daughter the day I got home from the hospital, I needed some things at the store so.. I got my daughter changed and ready to go, got my 2 yr. old son ready to go, got in the car , drove on the Highway about 15 miles later I realized... I FORGOT THE BABY AT HOME!!! Ever do a U TURN on 95 ?? I did, right up and over the grass to turn around.. FAST!! When I got home, she was sleeping in the bassinet , right where I put her after I got her ready to go!!! Its funny now but NOT then!! I was Scared to death.. but I was not used to having another baby yet...and I just took Todd and totally forgot her. So don't beat yourself up, things happen and we all learn from it..

We all do it. DH fell asleep with Ian on his chest in the recliner when he was about two weeks old. Sure enough, I hear a yell in the middle of the night b/c dh had felt him roll. How he managed to hit the small triangle of carpet where he fell and nothing else still amazes me! Your son will be fine and now you have a story to tease him with when he's a teenage boy.
