They tell you not to do. We all know not to do it. But we did it anyway.

We were eating at this little burrito stand today and had baby Logan in his car seat, on a chair, and not buckled in. We had been walking around town and I had been carrying him in my arms but put him in his carseat to eat our food. Our daughter had her cup of water, accidently knocked it over, it poured in my husband's lap, and somehow we ended up knocking the baby's carseat over. He fell on cement with the carseat on top of him.

He screamed, I screamed, and ended up with little marks on his face and didn't hit his soft spot. I could tell he was fine to begin with but we still ran him over to his doctor just to be safe. She gave him a clean bill of health. She said he might have a bruise in the morning.

Anyway, just a reminder to everyone not to do what we did today. About gave me a heart attack.

My dh did something similar. He put dd in the carseat on a chair and she rocked herself and the carseat off on the floor. She landed on his leg, so wasn't hurt, just scared.

BUT....where did it happen?

In the doctor's office - the orthopedist. He was right in the room with us, talking to us. No, he didn't report us to CPS.

I think we all live and learn. I'm glad baby's OK.

Glad the baby is ok. I'm also glad you are not beating yourself up too bad! Mistakes happen to everyone!

I'm trying not to beat myself up too bad -- it was an accident though there were a lot of stupid things on our part. Thankfully he's fine. He didn't even bruise just a couple of scrapes and they're small ones. I was planning on doing his pictures tomorrow and I think I might even be able to go ahead with those.

After we left the doctor's office, with Logan's clean bill of health, and we were driving home, I started shaking! That is when it really hit me. It is amazing how fst these things can happen.

Thanks for all the well wishes and thanks for no mean posts!
