So yesterday got me thinking.....on those days that are just crazy How do you unstress yourself.

These days I head to the gym. A class or two, with a good sweat and big glass of ice water is generally just what I need.

Oh gosh...all kinds of things. Depends on what I'm in the mood for! If I feel like talking it out, I get together with a girlfriend for drinks or coffee or we go shopping and have lunch together. If I want to be alone, I like to take a hot bath and read a book, have a glass of wine. Sometimes I like to go for a walk or hike.

I love the gym idea, but I just can't ever seem to get away. I always have so much to do here. I think I will try the hot bath and a glass of wine. I have been trying to take dd on a walk in the afternoon, but it's been getting pretty chilly around here.

Strap on my sneakers and walk...FAST! It helps me if I take a very brisk walk and even talk to myself. My neighbors probably think I'm nuts but they have no idea what kind of day I have just had. It kind of wears me out so I'm not so stressed or mad anymore so I don't continue to concentrate on the problem b/c I'm too tired to care anymore. Reading really helps me de-stress..after the kids are in bed...the house is quiet and the TV is OFF! My favorite mixed drink (screwdrivers)...or some wine...w/ all my candles lit. So I guess I have many ways to de-stress.
