I have a girl in my church who is pregnant and due in December. This is there 2nd child, and she made an agreement with her husband that if he agreed to let them find out what they are having that he could name the baby. Well, he agreed - they are having a girl and he picked the name Azera - which is supposedly after a car. I am also pregnant with a girl and her mother in law asked me about my name. When I told her we were naming her Sophia, she was soooooo jealous because she wants a Grandbaby with a normal name!!!!

I have always loved the name Abernathy! He was a character in a book series from Terry Brooks I always liked.

I named my DD Kyriandra - most people misspell and mispronounce it. We call her Kyri for short.

Rye. I think it was Lisa Schnebly Heidinger who named her son after a town in Arizona. Lisa is the descendant of the founding settlers of Sedona, Arizona. I would have liked to do something like that, but the closest I could find was Payson, which wouldn't have worked for him.

That reminded me of a kid my brother played soccer with (way back in the day); his name was Another Ed ... yep, he has an older brother named Ed ... so he was Another Ed. He told my brother he would be changing his name once he turned 18 ... so I have no idea what his name is now ...
