I think from these posts you can see you are not alone, and it has happened to many people. We are supposed to love unconditionally, and the media makes it sound like all roses and clover. Well, there's exhaustion, poopy and crying, both yours and the baby's thrown in, plus husbands who think we should be perfect (after all, it didn't happen to their moms..hah!!!)...but you see that while you are not alone, it is not good or necessary to suck it up...you've got enough to deal with. Yes, please tell your doctor. And tell your dh what you need - time alone..it's his baby, too - you are responsible for nursing, but baby can learn to take a bottle...otherwise, he can do EVERYTHING else as well as you can, plus HE IS NOT RECOVERING FROM THE PHYSICAL SIDE which includes hormones. And if you can hire a mother's helper, which could be even a teenager, do so - it's worth $25 or even less for a few hours a week when you can take some time to do something else.
