OK--we still have about 3-1/2 months left before this baby is born but we still can not think of a name we really like. I was wondering if any of you have heard some really cute, unique, but not strange names.

We prefer the name to be 1-2 sylables because we have a long last name.
Oh, and looking for a boy name. We don't know the gender of the baby but we think we have a girl name picked out. Although, if you know of a cool girl name, throw it at me!!!!!

THANKS!!!

Well i'm partial to Riley and Wyatt for boys.

We had some unusual names on our soccer team this year. Brooks, Quinn and Soren were a couple of them.

Kale
Maverick
Jestin
Kyler
Cordell (my nephew, but they call him Cord)
When i was pregnant i went to the library and grabbed up every baby name book i could find(though now i am sure you could find tons of babyname websites) and wrote down every name i liked. Then read them off to dh for approval.
Best of luck to you, picking names was the most exciting part,i think! I like unusual names too, but just not really out-there names that nobody could pronounce or spell.

I have had so many compliments on my daughter's name. We named her Shannon Rose. She is 8 and alot of times when people ask her her name she will tell them then they will say "Ahh, what a lovely name." She loves her name and now when she writes it she will write Shannon then draw a rose on the tail of her n. W have a long 10 letter last name so we also wanted a short & sweet first and middle name for our baby girl.

On the other hand, my son is 18 and he has always disliked his name. Just a few weeks ago he let me know AGAIN that he dislikes his name...Alexander Michael. We call him Alex. Apparently when we named him in the late 80's alot of people were naming their girls Alexandria and calling them Alex. He says that all the Alexs at his school are girls. So we have called him "Bub or Bubby" for years. His father's name was Michael and his grandfather was Alexander.

So 10 years later we made sure that we gave our daughter a lovely sounding name that she can live with and she loves it. Thank God. Names are important...think on it LONG and HARD because your child will live with it every minute of the day for the rest of their life. Good Luck!

Helllo! I am pregnant and due in February and these are the names we have picked out. We are having a girl and her name will be Sophia Darlene which means wise in Greek. This is a family name but I absolutely love it! Our boy names we were going to use were Micah and Luke. Micah is biblical and very unusual. I have only ever met one person with that name. Good Luck in the name hunt!

If I were to have a boy he would be names Myles. I LOVE that name, cool, unique and not trendy. My opinion is beware of those really trendy names that identify the era your child was born - (like Brittany), No offense to all you Brittanys, pretty name, just a wee bit too popular IMHO!

3 little girls we know are Kyrie, Kia and Kyra. Try keeping them straight!

I'm not one for real trendy names - especially the ones for boys that sound like states or western cigarette brands. If I had boys, they would have been John Alexander (calling him Alec, after my grandfather), and others I've grown to like because they are family names of people I love -- Charles, Stuart, and Ed.

My 2nd boy choice, in the past, was Tristan Stuart. My girl name was Ivy Sophia but my husband always said kids would call her poison Ivy....

My nephew is Reese, and he seems to like the name. It's unusual, short, but not so unusual that it sounds "made up."
