Since so many people travel during the holidays, I thought it might be a good idea to share your favorite tips for traveling while pregnant . . . Anybody have one?

The main one I know is drink LOTS of water, and make sure to stand up and walk about every couple hours or so if it's a long ride. Pretty much - drink a lot of water so you HAVE to stop to go the the bathroom! :D

If you can, elevate your legs as much as possible.

I went on a 10 hour bus trip and I laid on the seat with my legs against the window and I didn't get swelling. It helped that we travelled at night so all the lights were off. Lol

Get out and walk around frequently to help prevent blood clots.

If you're traveling to Mexico, carry your own toilet paper. Otherwise you'll either be out of luck or you'll be expected to tip someone to hand you some TP every time you go. We went to Cancun in July when I was 6 months pregnant. I swear, I had to use the restroom every half an hour. While we were at the resort, I had no worries. But when we ventured out to the marketplaces and some tourist destinations, I found myself scrambling for tissue or change (for tips.)

GET AN AISLE SEAT!!!!!!! I flew to Phoenix while 6 months pregnant and I was so uncomfortable. I wanted to get up and walk around and of course had to use the washroom but I hated asking the two people next to me to get up every time.
