I first got pregnant at 23 it took about 6 months and I was pregnant. Since the time I got pregnant I have know I wanted to do it all again. I had always said I wanted my dd to be walking talking and potty trianed b4 I had anothere baby. Well she is now 4 I will be 28 here shortly and no baby. I have been trying for about two years now and nothing. I want a second child do bad I cry when my cycle comes every month. I look around and see women pregnant every where and wonder when will that be me. I have recently gotten to the point where I am now willing to try fertility drugs but I am scared. My DH is a twin my grandmother is a triplet I would love to have more kids but preferbably one at a time. My DD prays ever night for a brother and a sister and has already named her sister. It breaks my heart every time when she asks God to please give her a sibling. I just want anothere baby.

First i want to say i am sorry your going through this. I too dealt with infertility with my first son. It took us five years to have him.

Secondary infertility is very common. I suggest you go in and talk to your doctor since it has been two years of trying. I did do fertility treatment and i only conceived one baby. It does happen. Don't fear the "what ifs"........ Your doctor will monitor you very closely.

Have you done anything on your own....for example....take your morning temps and checking your mucus to determine if you are ovulating and when?

Call your doctor today and start a work up right away!!!!!!!! They can help you!!!!!

Your in my thoughts and prayers A'ja mommy!!!!

Can i ask what State your in???

I am so sorry you have to go through this. I used to go stand next to pregnant women for luck- it is so frustrating. I would definitely talk to your doctor. If there is a problem that can be fixed, you may not need the drugs after all. And doing something proactive can make you feel a little better, though it is still very hard. HUGS!!!!

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I had a friend who'd had cancer and was told she would never have kids. This went on for over 12 years. They finally adopted. Two weeks after the adopton was finalized, they found out she was pregnant!! They now have two very beautiful children very close in age. She thinks that the fact she stopped working (she tended to internalize stress) and relaxed when they finally gave up, helped. My point is to keep the faith. Your heart will guide you on what steps you should take. Best wishes to you...I hope you get to experience the pains of pregnancy again.

I live in FL and we got checked about a year ago to make sure everything was fuctioning and they said everything was fine. I think I am going to call and start on some kind of fertility drugs. My great-grandma who is now 99 told me a week ago she had the same problem and she took some drink and she now has 8 kids which I looked on line and could not find. At this point I am willing to do anything.

have you done the ovulation kits that is what finally worked for me with ds #2 i tried for a year and a half and dr said try that for 6 mo and if that did not work we would try drugs 6 months later i was preggo and having my 12 week checkup. also less sex can help because sperm is more potent than if your having it multiple times a week. good luck.

I have thought about the ovulation kits and wonder how effective they were. With my daughter I started watching my mucos after about four months of trying and two months later I was pregnant. I think I am going to go out today and buy the ovulation kit, I also made appt with my doctor just to see what needs to be done. Thank You ALL!!!

Aw I can feel how much this means to you. Talk to someone about fertility treatments in depth. Have lengthy conversation about it. Fertility treatments do increase the possibility of multiples. There may be more to it than you know. I have a friend online who's taking Clomid, and it's been unsuccessful for her all together. Just know that it isn't the surefire way to get pregnant, but there are other fertility drugs you can try beyond Clomid. I really wish the best for you and your family.

I went thru secondary infertility. I told my DR that I wanted to get pregnant again and it wasn't happening and I was given a scrip for Clomid and got pregnant first go round. It was so difficult to get pregnant the first 2 times that we became complacent and next thing I knew I was pregnant again. We had thrown around the idea of another baby, but basicly wrote off the chance. Talk to your DR and he/she can help. My clomid was not covered by insurance but it only cost us $20 for the cycle, so it really wasn't too expensive. We were lucky. Good luck to you.

I recommend the ovulation tests too if you haven't already tried them. They are a bit pricey but once you figure out one month it's easier to figure out the next. Hopefully you won't have to.
