I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant and my back, legs and feet are killing me. I work in an office and sit at my desk from 7:30 - 4:30 every day. I go on walks around the block twice a day and get up and stretch often. But my back and butt are still killing me. I brought a little stool from home so that I can rest my feet on it......that has actually helped my feet and legs a little....they don't hurt as bad. I even brought a pillow from home......but that hasn't helped at all. I'm at my wits end.........I don't know how much longer I can keep doing this. Has anyone else had this problem????

I had to put a box under my desk to elevate my feet. And it's important to move and get the blood circulating.

I had a problem, though, with the baby's position..ouch for getting up! Then things were really getting wacky. If you are uncomfortable, or things feel especially weird, tell your Dr. I had to go on bed rest at 27 wks. No work for me...at all...only reading...

I see a chiropractor regularly (thank goodness Dh's insurance was better than mine when I had to quit my job!)

My chiro is certified to work on pregnant women and on infants/children, along with regular chiropractic. She has been an complete, utter, absolute life saver during this pregnancy. I have back issue from riding accidents, and the worst my back gets is an occasionally sciatic twinge if I stand wrong, and that is gone in seconds. I started seeing her about 3 or 4 years ago when I injured my back bull riding (real, not the fake bar mechanical "bulls").

She is also now working on my pelvis, because that is starting to get ready for baby, but it's "spreading" in the wrong directions and causing immense pain (serious pelvic shear). I talked to my OB about it, and said that I was seeing a chiro, and they told me that was the best thing I could do for it.

When we found out DH was going to get laid off, I didn't think I would have the money for gas to see my chiro. My most recent visit, she gave me a gift card from her and her husband for a gas station, so I can keep going until he's back to work.

This isn't the "break your neck" chiropractic either. It's almost like a massage :D That's actually the first thing she does when I go in - massages my shoulders for a few minutes!

Also look up stuff on the "Webster Technique" - super interesting!

Plus, she has special "baby belly" pads, so that I get to lay on my tummy, at least for a little bit! That's worth going in itself!
