My poor baby! lol So, she has cradle crap ( I mean cap ) and I think no big deal... but ped does, so she suggested that I get some Selson Blue for her hair. I love her smell after her bath and now even all the baby lotion in the world will not get rid of her old lady smell!! Oh well, something funny for the baby book.

wow I have never heard of doing this. I always just put a ton of lotion it it let set then combed through, then washed .... most of the time I would use baby oil/oil gel. Worked great. to soften it up and then I would just comb it out softly when she was nursing.

I would think that would be really harsh on her poor little head. My son had it and I also used the baby oil and a fine tooth comb.

Smeer her little head with Vasoline, leave it on for awhile then comb through it , you should be combing up lots of cradle cap, then wash her hair, you can do this every day or whenever you want to it won't hurt. The vasiline will soften it up so you can comb it off.

I was told to use Hyrocortizone cream on his head when he has slight cradle cap

MY #1 ds had it pretty bad. My ped. gave us some medicated shampoo to use. Cleared it up within a week. My #2 ds had it too. Not as bad. I did the baby oil on his head and than brushed his hair with those soft bristle baby brushes, than would give him a bath. I dont remember any of their heads stinking. I do remember that it looked kinda gorss, I thought my #1 ds was molting-you know like snakes do when they grow out of their old skin.
