dd ( she is 10 wks old ) had a fever of 103 on Wed and I took her in to the ER... She was of course admitted and they did a whole shlew of tests including a horrible spinal tap ( horrific )! She has a bad UTI number is supposed to be 15 and she was 26 ( not sure what that really means ), she was given high doses of antibiotics via IV.

They will be testing her for urine reflux. Anyone had this done? I guess it is pretty uncommon for babes to get urine infections unless something else is present. It was kinda hard being the holidays, since the shifts of dr and nurses changed faces so much, and everyone had their opinion!

We are home now, anyone with insight or experiance would help!
Thanks!

I just want to wish you GOOD HAPPINESS, that your dd gets better. I'm sorry that I have never heard of urine reflux.

There were some ladies on here awhile back who had daughters with urine reflux. I had never heard of it until then. Hopefully, they will see this thread and respond.

Hope all turns out well!

My DD was tested for reflux. She got a UTI at 7 weeks. She had a VCUG and a ultra sound done of the kidneys and bladder. She did not have reflux. She is 15 months now and has not had another UTI. IT is just something that happens and they have to run the test to be sure everything is working correctly.

my girls both had the Reflux!! oldest had found out when she was 2 and youngest was only a couple of months old when we found out she had it!! they both outgrew it
they were on Antibiotics for a year!! its good they found out now cause it could do major damage to there kidneys if found too late soo think pos!!! and like I said both my girls outgrew it!!

If you need anything PM me!! its been a while since I have had to go thru all this but I do remeber how tough it was to see them go thru the tests!!!!
