It was suggested by my ob that ii go on a low dose of prozac...upon further review turns out depression is not the issue, it is a thyroid dysfunction...have you had yours checked..they symptoms are almost identical of hypothyroid and deppression...but treatment is very different...my leleche league contact said zoloft was a good nursing drug for antidepressants...check with your leleche league if you are looking for a probreast feeding opinion, then consult your ped. as well.

I am nursing and I'm on Zoloft - 100mg/day. I was on the same dosage throught my pg also.

I nursed while taking Lexapro. I had good results with it in the past and my Dr said it wasn't the best choice but it wasn't anything that he would not perscribe to his wife in the same situation.

I was bf and took 10 mg of prozac. My ob told me the chemical makeup of prozac was too big to get into the breast milk, and what did get in was never going to be enough to affect the baby.
