How much nutritional value do vegetables really have for your baby if they end up in the diaper looking exactly the same as when they went in the mouth??? Sweet potatoes, peas, corn, carrots... why do I even bother feeding them to him?

I still think you must be joking. Go to any nutrition website and it will explain to you the importance of vegetables for digestion. If you don't eat them, you would be seeing less poop or some seriously constipated looking poop. Babies, and US, need vegetables for digestion. If we don't eat them, it can totally mess up our system. Starting him out early is a great thing!

Not all of it comes out his diaper. What the body needs is absorbed. God knew what he was doing when he created us this way. Just keep doing it!!!! Besides, what else are you going to feed him at this age? Cheetos?

I thought the same thing! and you know my 6 yo dd still has corn coming out as corn!! But they are getting what the body needs! Keep up the good job feeding those vegies!

I actually asked the ped about corn. And you are most likely only seeing the outside "shell" of the corn...lol as it is a bit harder to digest.

Kind of gross though isn't it! LOL
