When did your baby/todler start taking 1 long nap instead of 2 short naps. Right now dd is 15mts old and is still taking 2 seperate 1 hour naps, but I know my neighbor's daughter is 2and only takes 1 two hour nap.

It is up to your chlid and how long they sleep at night. My girls were very different because I had to take my youngest along to school in the morning and her nap would be delayed or interrupted. She started with 1 long nap (about 3 hours) at 12 months. If you want her to take 1 nap, try to delay the morning nap for a few days and she will take a longer nap a little earlier in the day. I know it makes it hard to plan anything when they are taking several naps. My oldest probably took 2 naps until she was 2. Whatever works for you!

If you want your child to only take one nap, because of convienece try gently bringing back the afternoon nap, and keeping dd up until then. It will be a hard week or two, but it can be done, especially at 15 months

mine was different, she slept from 12:30 to 3:30-4 from 7 months
woke at 7 bed at 7-8

everyone is different

but it is easier when they take one longer nap in the afternoon, than try to scedule around it, or miss it and be off kilter

HTH!

My dd went to 1 nap around 9-10 months; it's an afternoon nap that lasts anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on her. It was easier to remove the morning nap for us as she is more tired in the afternoon (and when she misses her nap - watch out!).
