I think that is amazing. Ds was breastmilk minduced too. I think it's weird that breastmilk can cause the baby to have problems. I am planning some research into this subject because it still eludes me that breastfeeding could possibly have negative effects on baby

My dd had jaundice,too I think only about a 5 though. She was very sleepy and we had a hard time getting her to stay awake to nurse and she was losing weight. When I finally, after much frustration, talked to a lactation consultant, they told me how to use a supplemental nursing system (SNS) so that the baby would get nourishment, and my breasts would be stimulated to make milk. Basically, it was a small tube that I ran along side my nipple and the other end was in formula in a bottle. When the baby sucks, it gets the formula and the milk. I know I so badly wanted to breastfeed and am so glad I talked to the consultants, they are SO helpful.
