I have never heard of this.

I had my tubes tied when DS was born - had a c-section so they did it while they were "in there".

Hey, you never know, maybe the baby will be breach and you'll need a c-section anyway. I had 2 c's and they were great.

We are pretty sure two kids are good for us, but like others I dont want anything in concrete, so at my 6 week i got the IUD and love it, no periods, no PMS, nothing! for 5 yrs, then if we decide to have a kid, then fine, if not I might go for the 10 yr one.

My Mom's cousin is an OB/GYN nurse Practioner and I asked her about a tubal. She said that in her experience (over 20 years) her patients have had more complaints about cramps after their tubals. I have bad cramps if I'm not on BC, so I chose not to do a tubal. (I also thought about the permanent thing and didn't like that either.)

DH said he has no problem having the V, but, for now, I'm on BC (no copay) and I told him I would stay on it even if he had the V, so he's in no hurry!

I had a tubal the same day that I had my dd in 98. IMHO it was easier to give birth naturally and have the surgery than have a c-section. (I had c-section w/ ds in 96) My recovery was much shorter the second time and I don't feel that my cramps are really any worse than before. I also had the incision around my belly button.

V was not an option for us due to health issues that I have while pregnant and I was encouraged by my Dr to have a tubal.

My Dr. did not tell me- though my BFF did (her Dr. told her)
Since I am Bfing I have not had a period yet- so can not say.
