My 3rd daughter is 6 mo. I can't remember what type of feeding schedule I had the other girls on. I am breastfeeding all morning and afternoon (which is like 4-5 times) (except at noon-she gets cereal). Then in the evening its solids or a bottle or cereal. Can you guys tell me what you do? I woud like to wean her a little more off the breast, but I am not even sure how often she should be nursing at this point. Thanks!

At 6 months, my girls were about every 3 hours for feedings. I would start them with one meal in the late morning. At first it was cereal, then each week I would add on. For example: Week 1: am cereal Week 2: am cereal & applesauce Week 3: am cereal & applesauce, pm cereal Week 4: am cereal & applesauce, pm cereal & bananas. That worked for me. I think I started off w/1-2 tablespoons and worked up from there.
