Out of all the cool toys they make for baby these days, mine loved blocks and board books.

DS had fluctuated between actual toys and things like water bottles but now his fav is a sesame street "remote control" that my sister got him for xmas. It is silver and somewhat realistic looking but has sounds for the buttons and such. We actually put it with all the other remotes and pretended to use it sometimes. now he heads right for it when he is in the room

LOL my daughter is a year old and she likes water bottles too! She also really likes plastic hangers. I have multi-colored plastic ones in my closet and she loves to play in them while I'm doing laundry.

Of her toys, she actually REALLY likes those simple little multi-colored stacking cups...there are 8 and they are bright colors and they nest...I'm sure everyone has them! She just figured out how to do them this past week...after a few days of trying..and she plays w. them every day! She also really like this crayola board book. She page is a bright color and it's easy to open. She also really likes anything that plays music. She loves music and she likes that she can make it happen.

anything he isnt supposed to have like the remote or my cell phone. He loves his toys equally I think. He does have a blanket that my aunt and uncle got him and if I try and use it he steals it from me then will throw it on the floor.

DS1 loved his floppy gangly elmo, DS2 like any sport ball and his little caterpillar plush rattle thing, DS3 loved his sheep that felt like a towel. So sweet when they are little.

DD (11 mo) likes the remote. Seems she's not the only one!

And her VTech Baby's Learning Laptop is always one of the first things she reaches for. Of course, spoons and the potato masher keep her busy when I'm in the kitchen and can't go find something more fun for her.

And the electric toothbrush is always a big hit!
