Is anyone having seperation anxiety? I mean you from the baby not the other way around. Next week I'm going to be extreamly busy voulnteering with things for my church that I won't have any time with DD (7 months). So that and the fact that I need someone to watch her, Dh suggested taking her to his parent's. It was a great idea at the time but now I just can't bear the thought. She doesn't agree with some of my parenting styles so I know that she will have an "i don't care if you leave me a what to do/what not to do list. I'm doing what I feel like" attutide. Plus I've never been away from her for more than 14 hours at one time. Every time I start thinking about it I just get a terriable headache and I just want to cry. I can't get out of my commitment.

Our origninal plan was to drop her off (2 hours away) Wed morning an dpick her up Saturday morning. However, I found out that I have some other things on Tuesday and since we will already be at my inlaws this weekend, DH thinks we should just leave her there until next Saturday. That means I will miss Monday, an entire day, with her. I'm also worried that dd will start crawling/walking while I'm gone. She's soooo close right now. I really think she'll start to crawl one day and then walk the next!

So am I completely insane or what? How am I going to deal wtih this?

I know how you feel. I have barely been away from my children in 5 years. Your husband doesn't understand your attachment. If you don't feel comfortable with it then don't do it. I would drive 2 hours to have my baby home with me all day Monday. I'm also insane and don't like to be away from my children. Good luck

I wouldn't want to be away for more than a day. I still have trouble being apart from my six year old for very long. It seems easier with my older ones because they don't miss me too much, but little kids want to be by their Mom. I don't have much advice, because I agree with you. I would try to cut down my volunteering if possible.
